How the kit works

Door noise has two enemies: the door panel itself, and the gaps around the frame. This kit handles the panel, the bigger of the two surface areas and the part most people ignore.

1. High-density polyester panels (200 kg/m³) bond directly to the door surface. They absorb mid-to-high frequencies inside the room and add mass to the door to reduce sound transmission both ways.

2. Self-adhesive backing means no drilling, no contractor, no damage when you peel them off later.

3. Trim-to-fit design works on any standard interior door, hollow-core or solid, single-side or both sides.

Result: a measurable drop in noise within 20 minutes of opening the box.

Want to seal the frame gaps too? Add our Weather Strip (KK1154) to close drafts and high-frequency leaks around the door perimeter. Most customers buy both together.

What the numbers mean

NRC 0.85 — Absorbs 85% of the sound that hits the panel. Your room sounds calmer, less echoey, better on calls.

STC 25-30 — Reduces conversational noise coming through the door by roughly 50-60%. Normal speech in the hallway becomes a low murmur.

Honest note: Panels alone will not fully block bass, drumming, or shouting. For maximum reduction, pair with the Weather Strip add-on and treat your walls and ceiling.

ASTM E84 Class A — Highest US fire-rating tier for interior finish materials. Same class accepted in commercial buildings, hotels, and recording studios.
