Following nature's instinctive design cues the Elder (and Cedar) are based around imperfect ridges that allow the light to play in contrast to the deep shadows and soft highlights. These vertical ribs are made from soft-finished white ceramic in a structure to reflect a cone or pod shape. Their neutrality lends itself to adapt to any interior surroundings and allows the lampshade fabric choice to come to the fore. Finished in pure white, the petal-like structures of our Cedar and Elder table lamps are beautifully tapered from the base and have a deeply tactile form. Each soft ridge runs vertically, allowing light to fall and create unique contrasts and shadows across the ceramic.
