We visited Capensis in February and had the most amazing visit. The tasting room and some of the vineyards in Stellenbosch are so unbelievably picturesque. The local flora and fauna abounds and it really is a magical place! 

Winemaker Graham Weerts has carefully selected the finest Chardonnay vineyards within the Western Cape to create this expressive wine. The ancient soils, dramatic landscapes and historic vineyards of Stellenbosch, Overberg and Robertson are the foundation for Capensis which honors the greatness of South Africa. Aged 10 months in French oak, 40% new. 

Lemon zest, bergamot, stargazer lily, shell & vanilla bean. Meyer lemon, tree fruits & saline with luscious texture and a balanced bright acidity.

"The price is certainly ambitious, but Graham Weerts' ambitious, pan-regional Chardonnay, mostly made from clone 95, certainly lives up to its reputation.
