Mueller-Hinton Agar

The Mueller-Hinton Agar is used for creating an antibiogram, using the Kirby-Bauer method. The plate size (12 x 12 cm) allows one to place up to 16 plates containing antibiotics on a single Agar plate. This minimises the number of Agar plates required for making an antibiogram, allowing the test to be more affordably carried out.
