A round-cut rich blue sapphire is set at the centre of this cluster ring. It is set flush in a rub-over setting with millegrain edging and is decorated with a 0.28 carat cluster of matching diamonds. The fourteen diamonds are grain-set in platinum and display a scalloped silhouette that is reminiscent of a flower. They lead onto split and scrolling shoulders and a scallop pierced gallery- two details that harmoniously complete this Edwardian cluster ring. Tested 18ct yellow gold and platinum, circa 1904.
