From Erongo, Namibia, this 2 pound 9-ounce tourmalinated smokey quartz point is translucent and coated with both hematite and fluorescent hyalite opal in areas. Areas of the surface are saturated with hyalite, fluorescing bright green. There are both fine needles of tourmaline inside that can be seen just beneath the surface and larger tourmaline deposits at the base. Very small, fine dendrites have formed on the upper area of the point, just below the termination.
