Gamay from the northern terroir of Beaujolais, within the wider regional area of Burgundy. In the early 1900s the area was mined for manganese and it is the remnants of this blue-veined mineral in the sub strata that provides the special underlying tonality to this wine. Rumour has it that it's declassified Moulin a Vent ?
Concentrated, bright berry fruit with freshness, minerality and gentle tannins in perfect harmony. Its the fuller end of Beaujolais for sure, quite a chunky style.
