A generously sized chestnut coloured glossy hen with black tail feathers sitting on her white woven basket nest!  Beautifully modelled and life-like in her look, she's well painted and has a lovely glossy glaze.  This hen will happily hold a dozen eggs and is a super decorative and useful piece.  It can also be used as a soup tureen to serve soup (not oven proof).

Dimensions: height 28cm, length 26cm, width 21.5cm.  In very good condition with two very small minor grazes to glaze just below tail feathers.  Most likely Portuguese.
