A Sweetgrass Mantra model penta bamboo fly rod, 6'3", 1-piece, and built for a #3 line. Serial #19-037. Mint or perhaps lawn case only. Medium fast action. Pentagonal construction. 2.5 ounces. Very light wheatstraw color cane done in a two-up node pattern. The rod shaft is matte and may have an oil finish. The owner's name is inscribed along with "JR Mantra". The rod is wrapped brown with black edges at the keeper and tip-top. The upper 1/4" in the tip has a slight bend to the right and could use a quick straightening. The grip is 6" long and turned to a blunt cigar profile. The reel seat looks like a stabilized redwood burl and the nickel silver cap, ring, and cork check are all oxidized. The butt cap as the sweetgrass logo on it. The rod fits into a dark painted PVC tube with a cork retaining ring to stop the rod from striking the tube bottom, and the tube has an oval Sweetgrass logo sticker.
