The ocean area is protected by an epoxy resin coating. The coastal area is matt and sealed with art varnish.

In Maori culture, paua is believed to bring connectivity and harmony to relationships. Amethyst is one of the most prominent crystals because of its beautiful coloration. The spiritual meaning is groundedness, tranquility and calm. Garnets are associated with love and friendship. Garnets were said to protect travellers on their journeys and were often exchanged between friends as tokens that they would meet again. Citrine attracts wealth prosperity and success.
