The Berber (also known as the Ohrenform) is a high center mounted chinrest favored for its leverage that assists many more petite players, with its prominent rounded edge and medium-deep cup. This extra high version is designed to assist the exceptionally long-necked player. Normal Berber height is 29 or 30 mm, but the height in the center of the edge of these chinrests are 35, 40, or 50 mm.

The Ebony (Diospyros ebenum) is pure black, harvested in Sri Lanka or the Chotonagpur Plateau in India. Then it is aged to assure stability and quarter sawn before being made into the individual parts.  The cork (Quercus suber) is the finest quality, fitted precisely to minimize acoustic interference and to maximize stability. The chrome fittings are all individually fitted by hand and are straight and thread easily. There are no chinrests available that are superior!
