The Maretron ACM100 AC Monitor (ACM100-01) brings powerful alternating current power monitoring to your boat’s NMEA 2000® network, giving you real-time insight into your vessel’s shore power, generator output, and onboard AC systems. Designed for seamless integration with Maretron displays and software like N2KView®, the ACM100 turns critical AC electrical metrics into network data that can be viewed anywhere on the vessel with compatible NMEA 2000® interfaces.
Whether you’re managing a generator, monitoring utility power, or tracking multiple AC busses on a large yacht, this monitor provides comprehensive electrical data — not just basic voltage and frequency — to help you diagnose power issues, optimize system performance, and protect your electronics from unexpected power anomalies.
Comprehensive Data Tracking: The ACM100 monitors all critical AC parameters, including Voltage, Current (Amps), Frequency (Hz), Real Power (Watts), and Reactive Power (VARs).
True RMS Measurement: It uses True RMS technology to provide accurate readings even on distorted waveforms, which is common when running off older generators or modified sine-wave inverters.
Total Energy Monitoring: The module calculates Energy Used (kWh) over time, allowing you to track exactly how much power your vessel is consuming during a trip or while docked.
Advanced Safety Diagnostics: By monitoring the relationship between voltage and current (Power Factor), it can help identify inefficient equipment or potential electrical issues before they cause a failure.
Plug-and-Play Network Integration: Data is broadcast over the NMEA 2000 bus, making it viewable on any compatible display like the Maretron DSM410 or a standard chartplotter.
Voltage Range: 0V to 264V AC (supports both 120V and 240V systems).
Current Capacity: Up to 150 Amps (when using the included current transformer).
Frequency: 45Hz to 65Hz.
Power Consumption: 50mA (1 LEN) from the NMEA 2000 bus.
Waterproof Rating: IP64 (Splash-resistant).
The ACM100-01 kit includes the following components:
ACM100 Module: The main bridge unit with an NMEA 2000 Micro-C connector.
Current Transformer (CT): A high-accuracy ring sensor that clips around the AC hot wire to measure current without direct electrical contact.
Mounting Hardware: Stainless steel screws for secure installation.
User Manual: Comprehensive guide for wiring and NMEA 2000 configuration.
Comprehensive AC power visibility — go beyond basic voltage and frequency with advanced power metrics
Improved diagnostics and safety — detect power anomalies early to protect sensitive electronics
Network-wide data access — share AC information across your NMEA 2000® network
Flexible monitoring — suitable for single-phase, split-phase, and three-phase systems when configured correctly
Monitoring shore power quality and usage
Generator output monitoring
Tracking AC loads and energy consumption
Integrating AC system data into a unified vessel monitoring display
Power system dashboards on bridge displays and remote stations
The ACM100 is a professional-grade solution for anyone who wants to eliminate the guesswork of AC power management. It is particularly valuable for protecting your boat from brownouts or overloaded circuits when multiple high-draw appliances (like AC units and water heaters) are running simultaneously.
Installation Tip: For the most accurate monitoring, the Current Transformer (CT) should be installed on the main AC feed immediately after the shore power inlet or generator breaker.
