This bolt kit is for Jeep JK Wrangler rear UPPER & LOWER control arm bolts. Fits 2007-2018 JK Wranglers. The correct stock size control arm bolts are metric. Many aftermarket “SAE upgrade” kits replace the factory metric hardware with oversized bolts (11/16s, 9/16s, etc.), which often requires drilling and permanently alters the joint, reducing bushing sleeve strength. Instead of changing bolt diameter, we stuck with metric and use a properly engineered shoulder so the bushing sleeve is supported on the shoulder instead of the threads. This restores clamp stability and prevents movement without compromising the original suspension components or geometry. Many SAE-based kits exist due to availability and higher costs of fine-thread metric hardware, not because changing bolt diameter provides an engineering advantage.
