Introducing the Aoshima 1/700 scale HMS Kent plastic kit, showcasing the design active during the Attack on Benghazi.
This British Heavy Cruiser, launched in 1926, played a crucial role in history on September 15, 1940. Teaming up with the battleship Valiant and the aircraft carrier Illustrious, HMS Kent bravely attacked Benghazi.
[The ship sustained damage from a torpedo hit in the stern by Italian Savoia Marchetti SM.79 bombers, but was successfully towed back to base for repairs. After being reassigned to the Home Fleet, Kent escorted convoys to North Russia before being decommissioned in 1945 and ultimately destroyed in January 1948.]
This kit comes molded in gray and includes bonus mini airplane fleets and photo-etched parts for added detail. Get your hands on this piece of history and recreate the heroic moments of HMS Kent in your own collection.
