Renowned for its mesmerizing "Morpho" or "Butterfly" dial that shifts between deep green and blue, this 1974 model was priced at a premium 220,000 JPY,  twice the cost of a Grand Seiko 61GS. This example is the rarer JDM variant, with “Quartz Superior” elegantly printed on the lower half of the dial.

Beyond its beauty, this watch showcases Seiko’s meticulous craftsmanship: applied minute markers, a perfectly balanced day-date display, and a 37mm steel case designed under Taro Tanaka’s "Grammar of Design" philosophy, sharp, angular lines with flawless finishing. The recessed crown and original bracelet further enhance its refined silhouette and wearability.
