How It Works:

Students take turns rolling the die, answering figurative language questions, and stacking donuts onto the wobbly saucer. Each donut type targets a specific skill area:

• Ring Donuts: State the meaning of a figurative expression

• Yeast Donuts: Relate abstract language to your own life

• Cruller Donuts: Complete a sentence using figurative or abstract language

• Old-Fashioned Donuts: Answer an if/then question logically

As the tower grows taller, students build both language skills and teamwork—but they must balance carefully to keep the donuts from tumbling down!
