DESIGN---This is a schlenk flask comprised of a heavy wall cylindrical tube with a high vacuum valve at top opening used to control the flow of gas or liquid. with an outer standard taper joint parallel with the high vacuum valve on the side-arm for attaching a schlenk line to get the inert gas source.The joint is also used to attach a jointed lab glassware apparatus for adding or transferring.
USE----- This schlenk tube is used as a reaction tube or storage tube in air-sensitive chemistry.For reaction,the cylindrical style is more convenient for magnetic stirrer comparing to the same upper style design but with a round bottom flask.For storage,it is designed with a side taper joint which can be attached to an addition funnel for easy adding.and it can be stopped by a glass stopper or a rubber septum for liquid transfering with Cannula.
DIMENSIONS-----This schlenk storage/reaction tube is supplied with a 0-4mm high vacuum valve with PTFE O-ring at tip and PTFE wiper to protect PTFE O-ring at tip.With 14/20 standard taper joint on side-arm for adding or connecting to a schlenk line.Capacity of 25mL.
HEAVY WALL ---This schlenk tube is heavy-wall designed , made by hand-blowing according to ASTM E438 ,made of high-quality borosilicate glass and annealed at 800 degree Celsius ,can be heated directly in an open flame and can withstand typical laboratory thermal variations in Chemistry processes like heating and cooling,durable and reusable.
