Description

The SHIMMI Gift Set brings the depth of Korean fermentation to your table. In Jookjang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, farmers grow soybeans and chili peppers under the warm valley sun, then carefully ferment them in traditional clay pots for three years. Using pure water drawn from 230 meters underground and nothing else but time and devotion, these condiments achieve extraordinary depth and clean flavor.

*Please note that this is a fermented product and without any preservatives it can continue to rise which can sometimes overflow (the lid is intentionally popped to allow breathing space for the fermented paste). It is still safe to eat.
