This used Bar Basket Weave stamp was made by Midas (Kelly Tool Co) and is tool number 261. This tool impression measures 7/16" in length and 7/32" in width. There is some brass plating chipped off and rust on this stamp, including on the tool face. There is also some green paint on the handle left behind by the previous owner. Stamped on the tool is "Midas 261" and "Kelly Tool Co New Zealand". These old tools do not come available very often, so don't miss your chance to add a great tool to your collection. It still has many miles left in it.

A later tool company whose tools started showing up in the USA in early 80s was Kelly Tool Co. of New Zealand. They sold their tools in this country under the Midas name. They were very nice tools with crisp detail and an attractive golden finish. These tools have become quite collectible because of the short time they were available.
