Sikalastic®-391 N is a two-component, elastomeric, 100% solids polyurethane-based wear course. It is designed to serve as a protective binder over the Sikalastic®-390 Membrane, enhancing surface durability and anti-skid properties by incorporating silica sand.

Sikalastic®-391 N is part of a traffic coating system that includes:

• Base Membrane: Sikalastic®-390
• Wear Course: Sikalastic®-391 N
• Primer (when required): Sikalastic® Recoat Primer
• Top Coat (if needed): To be applied over the wear course after a minimum of 8 hours cure time
• Aggregate: Oven-dried #24 mesh silica sand

• Multi-storey parking decks and ramps
• Interior footbridges and walkways
• Interior stadium and arena surfaces
• Not recommended for exterior applications (Sikalastic®-394 is preferred for such use)

• Mix Ratio: Component A to B = 2.5 : 1 by volume
• Application Thickness: 18 – 25 mils wet film thickness
• Coverage: 65 – 90 ft²/US gallon depending on surface profile
• Sand Broadcast Rate: 0.7 kg/m² (14 lb/100 ft²)
• Application Method: Notched squeegee, followed by sand broadcasting and backrolling
• Pot Life: 35 – 40 minutes at 23 °C (73 °F)
• Recoat Time: 8 hours at 23 °C; varies with temperature
• Walk-On Time: 16 hours at 23 °C
• Light Traffic: 24 hours at 23 °C
• Full Cure: 7 days at 23 °C

• Minimum/maximum ambient and substrate temperature: 10 °C to 32 °C (50 °F to 90 °F)
• Maximum relative humidity during application and cure: 85%
• Substrate temperature must be at least 3 °C (5.5 °F) above dew point
• Not UV stable; recommended only for interior applications
• Surface must be dry and free of frost, dampness, or water
• Sikalastic®-391 N is solvent-free, improving safety and reducing odor
• Compliance: CAN/CSA-S413-14 (ASTM C957) for parking structures
• Tools must be cleaned immediately with Sika® Urethane Cleaner and Thinner
