Alrik Yuill shapes Space Time Surfboards here in Costa Mesa just a block away from Daydream. Yuill's background in fine arts as a sculptor coupled with his lifetime of surfing and shaping gives him a unique perspective on board building that yields unique and highly functional sculptural art pieces we know as surfboards. This Spiral Hull has a vee entry that transitions into a triplane hull with a deep spiral vee that emerges and grows deeper out the tail. Yuill believes in building boards for longevity, the Spiral Hull is shaped from an EPS blank and reinforced with carbon fiber strips on the deck that are hidden by white pigmented volan cloth on the deck with a raw lap finish on the bottom.
