A very attractive wallet style binding Bible issued just in advance of the Civil War. Then presented [with both inscription and stamp], to Uriah S. Candy, June 18, 1864. Candy was from Indiana and there were several regiments mustered in and out in June of 1864. Likely either presented upon his return from the War or when mustered. Family inscription on ffep.
