Vintage, ruby and diamond cluster ring, circa 1960. Set to centre a cushion-cut ruby of incredible colour, a pure vibrant red to slightly purplish red hue. Unusually, the ruby is a very clean stone, with no visible inclusions to the eye. And what’s more, the ruby is certified as natural, with no evidence heating or treatment. It is very rare to find coloured gemstones (especially rubies!) of this quality without evidence of enhancement, making this ring very special. The ruby is surrounded by an explosion of marquise-cut diamonds, perfectly framing the ruby. It would make a statement at any social occasion, especially a cocktail party.
