Stylish Hoops

Hoop earrings (arracadas in Spanish) throughout history have been modified and adapted to different cultures, styles and fashions, and even today they are so modern that it is difficult to perceive them as the classic ones that were introduced to Spain by the Arabs, and to Mexico by the Spanish.

These classic, simple and modern silver hoop earrings by jewelry designer Ezequiel Tapia were perfectly executed by the skilled artisans of Taxco. The delicate line that follows the circular shape of these classic hoop earrings widens in the middle, to allow a garnet cabochon be graciously placed in the centre, giving them a distinctive touch.
