A rather nicely preserved copy of the true first edition of the life and letters of Emily Chubbuck Judson [1817-1854] [Pseud. Fanny Forester]. Emily was the last, and perhaps the most unsuited of Judson's three wives. 

Includes excellent material on Emily, Missionary and Female Life in Burmah, on Adoniram, and publishes for the first time private correspondence between the two.
