A Victorian five-stone crystal opal ring. Crystal opal has a play-of-colour that is comparable white opal, however unlike white opal, it lacks the milky body colour of white opal and is instead transparent or at the very least, translucent. This means light can pass through the gemstone freely, giving it a very distinct opalescence. This ring is a pristine display of exciting cabochon-gemstones, graduating in size towards the middle and a true celebration of Victorian craftsmanship. Tested and marked 18ct yellow gold.
