Hand shaped by Robin Kegel in his last batch of Gato Heroi's shaped before leaving California for 2018. Channel your inter Phil Edwards before setting foot on this new model, the Double Dagger is a high speed trim machine. With an outline similar to a pin tail version of Gato Heroi's infamous Death Dagger, the Double Dagger has a narrow, parallel outline with a pointed, pulled in nose and tail. The rail foil starts out in the nose as a 50/50 but quickly transitions into more of a 70/30 down turned rail that holds through the rest of the board through to the tail. The deck is hearty and holds a solid amount of thickness in the middle before doming off towards the rail. Relative to many of the Gato Heroi models, the Double Dagger has a pretty mellow bottom contour with a light rolled bottom that flattens out towards the tail. Super flat, balanced rocker with a beautiful 3/4" cedar stringer with nice woodgrain. This is a hotdogging log built for dynamic nose to tail surfing, tasteful nose play, and big turns off the tail.
