A nice Thomas and Thomas Individualist model bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #7 line. Serial #2402. 4.1 ounces. An impregnated model in near mint condition with a cosmetic casting crack at the butt ferrule, but no signs of use otherwise. Medium action. Light tan wraps with brown at the ferrules and a band of dark brown and black at the keeper and tip tops. Carbide stripping guide, with black snake guides and tip tops. Tip #2 has a displaced strip so instead of a "node, skip, node, skip, node, skip" pattern it has "node, skip, node, node, skip, skip". When I spoke to T&T about this model it was originally made as a one tip rod and the second tip was thrown in for free, which explains the anomaly. The grip is 7" in length and is done in a western profile. The seat is an uplocking aluminum screwlock with a varnished walnut spacer. A small 1/2" long fighting butt protrudes from the bottom of the reel seat. The ferrules are swiss style but do not have the usual collar on the males. Oxidized ferrules. The bag is tan with a stiffener and the tube is brushed aluminum with brass fittings.
